Portal Runner

Here are some screenshots from Portal Runner, the first game I worked on at 3DO.

The pictures you see here are from levels I worked on. The top four pictures are from the level we dubbed 'Raptor B'. Here you see the large lava lake near the beginning of the level. Second you see the secret red crystals that lead up to the lion's mouth where the ruby is. Most of the fun in Portal Runner is figuring out how to get those hard-to-reach gems.

Third is the secret temple under the lavafall.

The last two are screenshots from a couple of the multiplayer levels. I did all the design and scripting for all the multiplayer levels. I originally had some racing levels, target shooting levels, but I was told to scrap them and make them all deathmatch. 2 player deathmatch can be hard to make fun, so each of the 8 multiplayer levels (two were secret levels) had lots of gimmicks.

Here is some video from the various levels I worked on:

Heal The Lion (Real Media)
Raptor Lava Lake (Real Media)

MULTIPLAYER:
Gravity Arena (Real Media)
Castle Blast (Real Media)

Jungle Tangle (Real Media)
