They camp for the night.  Akili sleeps on a 20x20-foot bright orange carpet.

Andune takes the first watch.  She sees a torchlight on top of one of a tower.  She keeps an eye out for more Cloaks, but she can't really see far very well.  Akili's turn comes around.  He hears a strange cry in the night, which sounds quite a distance away.  Towards the end of his watch, he hears a loud booming noise far off in the distance.  Twenty minutes later, his watch ends.  He goes to get Sarai, and hears the sound of shattering stone, and Sarai's tent bulges 8 feet tall.
Akili goes to slice a leg off of the raised tent, and it turns out to be a stone/clay golem.  It decks Sarai with its arrival, and then tosses the tent off of itself and into the trees.  Combat ensues.

They defeat the golem.  Between all of them, they realize that the golem is evil and is not from this world, or from Slavac.  The golem also has fingers sticking out of its head, at least before it crumbled to dust, which is really unusual.

Sarai investigates the bloody arrow she got from Akili earlier, and discovers that it has burned through a piece of curtain around it.  The blood is also still liquid.  Sarai has Oyaht dig a hole, and Sarai buries the arrow.  Akili doesn't notice.  He's busy fishing Sarai's tent out of tree, which was still servicable.

They finish their night's sleep.  Sarai hears the sound of a very large bird that she can't see, but nothing else happens.

Akili learns Wild Strike after studying his book.  He also passes around an amulet of some kind of transmutation, but no one can better identify it.  They move on.

They come to a break in the woods, and see a couple towers down below, with a lot of open area.
They move up into the mountains, activate Sarai's old orb of non-scrying, and set up camp to rest and travel during the night.

Boats are seen coming and going from the shore at the towers down south during the various watches, and troops are eventually noticed moving from the boats to the towers.  Lots of troops, like around 400, all marching to the west.

Four-legged creature stomps around, and barely avoids the camping group in the grass.
