Thoughts and notes related to D10 rule set.
Effect of D6,D8,D12 for challenge rolls?
Start a new character with attribute matrix, N powers, and N skill points.
Each new level take a new power and skill, increment 1 attribute. Incrementing a whole column or row advances too fast.
Classes in the form of paths, sets of related powers. Some paths complement, others clash and may not both be used in a character. Similar powers may occur in multiple paths. Most D20 classes mapping roughly to a set of complementary paths.
Powers restricted by prerequisite powers and attributes. A character may advance faster along a path at the expense of reduced flexibility.
Proposed Paths:
soldier
healer
brawler
inflicter (dark side counter of healer)
jester
expert (extra skill points)
illusion
summoning (When starting choose a type of creatures summoned)
shape shifting
conjuring
seeing
